Foráneo consists of 40 original, one of a kind, India ink works on paper. The series intends to portray a sense of strange or unfamiliar by referencing exotic fauna from Guatemala inspired by Virgilio Rodríguez Macal's novel La Mansión del Pájaro Serpiente. The animals are presented as multiples, part of a whole with a specific origin, which the series aims to connote to human migration. The respective small size of each piece intends to also connote the idea of the individual and the experience of being a foreigner.
